Viña Ardanza is the flagship Reserva of La Rioja Alta — one of the great traditional Rioja houses — and the 2019 is a textbook expression of everything that makes aged Rioja so compelling. Ruby with orange hints at the rim, it opens with a developed, harmonious nose of decayed leaves, sweet spices and cherries in liqueur.
