Cristal is the original prestige cuvée — created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II of Russia, and still the benchmark for ultra-luxury champagne. The 2016 vintage is a wine of extraordinary power and precision: golden in the glass with soft, glowing highlights and fine, steady bubbles. The nose is powdery and sweet, with elegant chalky notes and a mixture of yellow fruit, juicy citrus peel and finely roasted nuts. On the palate, fine textured tannins reveal a poised, vinous dimension, with a finish that is savoury, saline and seemingly endless. Presented in its iconic anti-UV cellophane wrapper inside a Louis Roederer Cristal gift box. 12.5% ABV.
