It is a powerful and focused style of dry Riesling with superb structure, bright acidity and intense minerality. 2016 was a superb vintage and this should drink well in youth but has formidable cellaring potential.

Based in the village of Scherwiller, halfway between Strasbourg and Colmar, Domaine Achillée was not named so due to their weak ankles. Achillée is the name for yarrow, a very important plant used in biodynamic farming and one that grows abundantly on the Dietrich family’s vineyards. Their winery is rumoured to be the largest building made of straw in Europe.
