Vineyard location: Vistalba, Lujan de Cuyo.
Age of the vineyard: over 50 years old.
Grapes: 100% Malbec.
Harvest: 27th March– 14th April.
Yielding: 45 hl/ ha.
Deleafing and green picking.
Harvest is realized manually in small trays of 20 kg in order not to damage the grapes.
Meticulous sorting is performed by hand prior to vinification in order to select the best grapes.
Fermentation: at controlled temperature of a 26° C. Four pumping over per day and a long maceration period of 30 days.
Ageing: 40% of the wine was aged in French oak barrels during 12 months.
Final clarification with fresh egg whites.
Drinkable: 6 years.
Tasting notes: deep red color with violet tones. Very intense bouquet with red fruits like cherries and spices. Complex and well balanced with notes from the oak like vanilla and chocolate. Big on the mouth. A modern style wine, with sweet silky tannins.
Great combined with all kind of grilled meats, games and cheeses.
